You want your hair to be more full. There are volumizing Shampoos and Conditioners that will help with that. There are also styling products that will help.
By getting your hair cut into layers, it will "lighten" it, lifting it, and giving it more volume. Talk to your hairstylist, they can offer suggestions.

Pantene Pro V Winter....it'll moisturize your hair and make it easier to work with. Then get Pantene hairspray and spray it up (while hairdrying) and use a round brush to wave the hair out of your face. There are haircuts made especially for that. Good luck!!!!!!!

Try using shampoo made just for volume and mousse

Try using a large round brush and rolling it back when blow drying.
