Maui is the best island for a honeymoon by far. It's not as touristy and crowded as Oahu nor is it as country and desolate as the Big Island. Maui has the perfect blend of both, especially the Kihei area (highly recommended).

Just returned from Maui, and I highly recommend that for honeymooners. Ka'anapoli Beach area in West Maui offers miles of romantic beaches with fantastic sunsets, and you can find night life of peaceful beautiful nature, as well as every kind of water sport or snorkeling for two. Excellent place to be. I am sure that every island has it's positive features and most have similar activities, but in Maui you can travel the road to Hana, see the sunrise on a dormant volcano, visit tropic rainforests, visit Lahiana Town and the best luau in the oslands (according to travel agents and tourist ratings), enjoy the old culture, and get fascinated by the new. There is sometjhing for every mood there. Give it some thought.

Well I live here and have been to all of the islands except for Niihau. Anywayz, it kinda depends on what you want to do on your honey moon. Okay well heres the low down.....
Oahu......
It's like the New York City of Hawaii. Here we have great hotels and awesome beaches. Hotel, I recommend the ihilani and beahces are better on that side anywayz. While your here you might want to check out the PALI LOOKOUT. Lets just say here its not the quietest.
Niihau.....
You can't visit there unless you have a relative or frend that is inviting you. It's owned by a family.
Kahoolawe....
I wouldn't recommend going there cause they used to use it for target practice. Their starting to clean it up now but still. If your going for Luxurious and pretty I wouldn't choose Kahoolawe.
Lanai...
It's really pretty and calm here. There is hardly any noise. But I guess that is because there is only really one major town and there are very few people. But it is really beautiful.
Kauai....
One of my favorites. There are alot of great beaches, scenery, nice hotels and not to mention the great amounts of chickens along the road side. Anywayz the skies are beautiful cause unlike Oahu there is no light pollution and stuff like that. It is very quiet.
Maui.....
Now here there is much excitement and sometimes none. I say it starts to get boring there after awhile. Anywayz, they have great beaches and hotels. I also recomend going up to Haleakala and the needle, and going into Makawao where it's very contry like and if you want there are horse ranches back there and they would love to take you back on to some of the trails.
Molokai.....
Unless your into the whole ranch ordeal I wouldn't quite go there. It's really like the country island. Many farms and animals. Also, great beaches. If your liucky you will see a hawaiian monk seal or a honu (turtle) come right up on the beach and lay in the sun. Just remember don't get to close or you will be billed.
Hawaii (big island)....
This island has many different climates and it really depends on what you like. There is Hilo where its alot greener and more of a rainy weather. Then there is Kona where it's more dry and more touristy. Then there is Waimea and Kohala side where it's not very advanced and I say more calm and relaxing. Anyways, the hotels are great everywhere and so are the beaches. I suggest while there going to......
chain of craters road - Hilo side
Kamehameha Statue - Kohala is where the original is
the Naha stone - Kohala area
Thurston Lava tube - Hilo
Maunaulu lave field - Hilo
There are many other places and if you want can purchase coral rocks and stop somewhere when traveling and in one of the lava fields put your names or what ever you want to. Trust me it's a ton of fun.
I hope what I have said above will help you decide. Have fun on your honeymoon.

Livedon Maui 16 yrs. workes as a bortender & sales, been to most of the hotels & camping & fishing all over Maui, Hands down is the best.If you click on my name I answered this question & a couple like it, like where to go, what to do, I reccommend you look at some of the answers & best answers that I hve made, they also point to some websites. Maui is the Wedding capital of Japanese, & you know how meticulous Japanese are. (I'm 3rd generation Japanese) Congratulations! There are 100's of wedding planners that can give you a very memorable wedding. In the mountains. on the beach at sunsrt, underwater, my favorite is on a large catamaran at sunset. Hana is good. Kapalua & Kaanapali is good . My 2nd island pick is Kauai (very private, then Oahu) Getting married at The old Lahaina Luau on Maui is fantastic also. See you on tour honeymoon. Also research, islandprince, answers & Haleiwa girl, because they have tons of info on their sites, just go to Advanced search & you can locate people by their nichnames.

People already said this, but it depends what you want to do.
I live on Oahu and it's great if you want to do a lot of things on your honeymoom. If you want to relax at a nice resort where there's not a lot to do and not a lot of people try Lanai. The Big Island (Hawaii) and Maui are also great places to honeymoon too. They have much to do and see and they both have nice resorts and less expensive hotel options. I would personally stay away from Kauai.

The Big Island, Kauai and Maui are all quite nice and not that many people, cars or buildings there like the island of Oahu. The Big Island is where you can see the Volcanoes. They all have beautiful nature and landscape.

Maui. There is plenty to do if you want to but you can also have some seclusion if you want it (north side of the island). If you want to see a great show...see Warren and Annabelle's Magic. It's absolutely hilarious!! It's in Lahaina.

It depends on what you want to do. Edit your question ... or rather amend it and say whether you want to snorkel and do major activities or just BE in some place that's beautiful. The islands are very different from one another.
