A couple things you can do to make it easier:

1. Use way more lube than you think you need. Better to slide right in than cause too much friction. no lube = lots of pain.

3. You might try having an orgasm normally first, this will also relax you.
4. Take you time and slowly stretch your *** with either fingers or toys. The more time you take to stretch, the easier it will be to have fun anal sex, andf the less pain you will have. You can make it a game, or a whole night of sexual exploration.
5. Remember to use a lot of lube, and keep it handy so he can apply more every so often.

I can't speak on behalf of the globe's male population, but if I had to make a stab at the question (no pun) I would think its probably more of a minority interest.
