They are the same unless they're worth a British pound. The amount of gold worth a pound would probably weigh less than the amount of feathers because it would take a considerable amount of feathers to actually be worth a pound.

A pound of gold if you're utilizing troy weight in calculating the the gold. If you're using standard US weight measuring, they will weigh exactly the same; {a pound is a pound whether it is of the same substance or not}.
