I've heard French is pretty hard to learn. German isn't to bad. If I had a chance to do it again, I'd learn Japanese. There are alot of Japanese companies here and alot more comming. Youre a step in the right direction by already knowing Spanish. That will help you out with all the illegals in the country. Hope that doesn't sound racist, not ment to be.

German is far easier to learn than french. German only has one accent (umlaut), it only acts on 3 vowels (a, o, u) and it always changes the pronunciation the same way. There are absolutely NO spelling exceptions that I know of. There are lots of similarities between german and english words. The german language is very rigidly structured in terms of grammar, syntax, etc. By contrast none of these statements are the least bit true of french.

Chinese! from an economic standpoint.
The only nation in Europe that doesn't converse in English is France. It's not that the French don't know English, they just don't want to speak it.
German verb structure is much like English in that it uses constructions like " I have gone," "I had gone," and not like the Latin derived Romance languages such as Spanish, Italian and French. I found Spanish very easy to learn, not so with German.
I'm serious about Chinese.

German, it is the second most written language on the internet and as an international business major, you are always encouraged to take elementary German because at some point or another, you'll need it in your career.
German is easier too, most things mirror english.
Viel Gluck!
