Dog food is formulated for dogs. Though it won't hurt your cat, it's not a good idea to let your cat eat it on a regular basis. Cats need cat food.
Do what you can to keep the dog food away from that cat. Try feeding your dogs on a regular schedule and don't just leave a bowl of food laying around.

Yes. Pet foods are formulated for the species that they were made for. Dogs and cats have different needs, vitaimns, minerals etc. I do have a small dog that likes cat treats. So every once in a while I will give him a cat treat. But this is not a habit.

I think it depends on what type of dog food you buying.Because if you read the dog food label most of your dog food has cereal in it. However there are dog foods made with meat byproducts. And that will not hurt your cat. However give your cat some cat food.

If the dog doesn't like the cat eating it, that can be very bad for the cat...
Actually a little can't hurt. As a regular diet, it's not good as there are certain nutrients, like taurine, that cats require and dogs don't, so they won't be in dog food.

Yes, not as many nutrients as cat food. Feel free to give cat food to a dog though!

Yes. Cat food does not have the same acidity level as dog food, for starters, and the stomach and digestive tract could be damaged by using the wrong food. That goes also for dogs eating cat food.

YES!!!Dog food lacks the proper nutrition that a cat needs.Eventually your cat will starve to death or become malnurished. So do your cats a favor and shell out the couple extra bucks for food.

Dog food has proper vitamins and nutrition for dogs. Cats require different nutrition than dogs. You should stick to feeding cat food to cats or they will eventually get sick.
