Interesting, is he an older man?
Did you do something nice for him in the past? This might be a way of him to thank you for it....being a Bosnian-American myself I think that might be the case..if you had already thanked him for it, that would be enough ( I'm almost sure he knows what Thank You means)....next time you see him maybe say "Kako ste? this means "how are you?" in Bosnian =)

If you want to do more, have a cup of coffee with him...Bosnians drink strong Turkish coffee

"...he don't speak English?" Neither do you! He doesn't speak English is better grammar.

I would look into the Bosnian culture online and see what their cultural customs might be. Would he like, maybe in the way of food, or a gesture, you can figure out. He may be just looking for a friend. Can you imagine how lonely it is for a non-speaker to live here, not to mention scary? And, being from a war-torn country the poor guy may have seen some pretty bad stuff go down.

How does he survive without English? Maybe one thing you can do that would really help him is find some English as a Second Language material at the library (for beginners) and help him to start to speak English. That would be a wonderful gesture. I am sure he would be very grateful to you.

I'd reciprocate the favor with another 6-pack or maybe a good bottle of Polish vodka. That usually does the trick.

Maybe you should learn enough Bosnian to say things like: Thank you - good morning, would you like to go to the bar/have a beer?

I'm sure you can find a dictionary or some books/tapes at your local Barnes & Nobles.

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of online courses which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

If your in America attempt to find out how he works, not being able to understand English and give to the one who told you a beer you like to give to him, If its rejected at least you don't have to drink a beer you don't like. If your in Bosnia, ask your embassy what to do.

Invite him back to your place for dinner. Make some sausages, some cabbage (like sauerkraut...) and some potatoes. Serve the beer for dinner. You will be bestest friends!
