Charlie if it is a boy. I also like Ringo. For girls I like Sadie or Katie. A trainer told me once that dogs respond well to names with an "e" sound on the end. Don't know if this is true or not - but come to think of it , every dog I have had with names like Charlie, Penny, Maggie, etc. respond better to commands. Who knows.

Name your dog a short one syllabled name. Like Sport, Mac, etc. One syllabled names that don't rhyme with a command you are trying to teach is simple to remember and not confusing. Dogs remember and respond to sounds, not the name. so if you named your dog Hack and he knows the word back; when you call him he just may walk away from you.

Depends on the kind of dog it is. I usually try and match the name with the face. But "Skillet" is one I like a lot. "Stump" and "Smoochie" are good too.
