Give it a little more time. Your still in the healing period. I had my tonsils out when I was fifteen and at the time I thought I was never going to feel normal again. I can still remember sucking on a lemon 3 weeks afterwards having the worst, intense pain shooting through my ears. Wow, it was awful. Anyway, be patient, you'll feel better soon.

Oh man - that's a bummer to have sore throats all the time. Lots of people had their tonsils out later in life. Get another opinion - but if your doctor says no perhaps he knows something we don't! But it's awful to have that infection climbinb up into your ears! Take lots of vitamin A - I've hard it has an antibiotic effect in large doses.

yes having your tonsils taken out affects your ears... it seems like your hearing becomes more acute and your ears more sensitive, because the nerves are really close to the throat area. it will go away eventually in time. I had my tonsils out when I was a young girl, and it took about 3 months before the hearing went back to normal, and then about an additional 3 months before my throat stopped hurting completely. The blood in the ears is not a good thing, it sounds like your eardrums could be getting close to rupturing, which will lead to you being deaf. You might need to have ear tubes put in your ears. Within the same year, I had my tonsils removed, ear tubes put in my ears, and my adenoids removed. But then again, I had tons of allergies as a child. You might not have to go through with all those procedures, but you might want to get your ears checked out because of the blood.

if you had bad tonsils and they were removed, the fact that you hear yourself breathing is because your inner-ears are "clearer". Bad tonsil pluc what is known as your eustation tubes...two tubes that travel from the back ot your throat directly to your inner ears. Certainly there have been times when you have yawned, and in doing so, you can "suddenly" hear better? This is due to the fact that your eustation-tubes have been cleared from the yawn. Tonsils affect the eustation tubes in order that they make hearing difficult. The fact that you can "hear yourself breathing, is a GOOD indicator that your eustation tubes are clear from the removal of your tonsils...and that is a GOOD thing. you're just not use to hearing as well as you now do. In time, you won't notice it and evetything will seem life as usual concerning your hearing. you now hear far better than you ever have before and, again, that is a GOOD thing...okay? I hope this has been a help for you.
