It's not persecution. It just so happens that Christians do not believe there are any other gods except the God of the Bible. Since Atheists disbelieve all gods, Christians and Atheists can agree on the basics on all non-Christian religions.

I am an atheist and I can tell you that I never side with christians on anything. A lot of them are repressive and down right hateful human beings.
I usually say to each his own until someone tries cramming it down my throat. I then proceed to use their books against them.
Hope that answers your question!!

Excellent question...
Fellow Christians, I emplore you... remember that we are to act as Jesus acted... he never forced anyone to listen to him... and he certainly never attacked anyone who disagreed with him... in fact the only time we see Jesus being anything other than his wonderful self was when he went into the church (the temple) and started kicking over the exchange tables.
(Before anyone jumps in and takes what I am saying out of context... bear in mind that -to be frank- these money changers were robbing people blind as they tried to perform their regular worship functions... Jesus doesn't like it when retailers take advantage of poor people... and he likes it even less when they do it in God's name).
Christians... let's all learn to act like our name sake: Christian, by definition, is Christ-like.

They hardly do anything together for one. Secondly, you think that is persecution? Honestly, hyperbole does not become you.
