NO but if i were her, I'd reported after it happen but if she waits too long then there would be no case for her. It's called police brutality so look into it and see what can be done or call a lawyer to get some kind of advice, if she wasn't showing proof of injure then she can't really do anything unless she has proof.

gee... so many people here are so senstive!

I will bet your friend's head probably was force against hood of the car, but not slam. However she need a excuse to whine about polices. So it's likely she was making it up.

If her head was literaly slammed on car and she was drunk and in a brawl, it's likely she was trying to fight the police, resisting the arrest, or trying to attack someone. So of course the police would slam her head on the hood to make her behave.

Is this right? Well... In civilian's view no, but maiority of them hate police so they will bad mouth the police at every possible chance. In police's view, they probably think they were doing what they were taught to and try to prevent brawls or fighting from getting more intense.

So... Last question is who is right? Put yourself in police's shoe and you were dragging some drunk out of control biatch out of a bar, what would you have done? That should be your answer

Try not to listen to your girl friend. She's only telling you one side of the story.

Think of it this way -- the police arrive to a bar brawl. People are drunk, violent and resisting efforts by the officers to restore peace.

How careful do you think they're going to be? They're going to focus on doing their jobs. They certainly aren't going to be too sympathetic to a belligerant drunkard.

I'll bet you $10 that your girl friend is not telling you the whole story. It was either a mistake or the officers used appropriate force under the circumstances.

Was she resisting them? The police are obligated to take what action is necessary to maintain social order. Considering there was a brawl going on, they were probably justified in doing so unless she was clearly not involved in the brawl.

was she mouthing off to the cops? or resisting? I know of no cop that has ever slammed someones head into the hood of a car if they where compling to the officers orders.

and FYI if the cop is putting handcuffs on you and does not say "You are being placed under arrest" or somthing close to that does not mean you are being arrested, but you ARE being detained.

You're only getting one side of the story. Hopefully there was a camera in the police car that caught the whole thing on tape and will vendicate the officer.

Yes. Not only is it "right" it is the protocol of things to do to dumbshi t sluts who are drunk and disorderly.

Note to self: When in police custody -- and getting HANDCUFFED might be the clue, if in doubt -- calm your as s down or run the risk of getting your head slammed into the hood of a car.

Normally the person is placed hard on a car when they are resitsting, and had they merely been doing what they were told it would never happen.

The use of force is well justified when it is needed.

I would say she was drunk, and tried to fight witht he police when they cuffed her. So they placed her hard on a hood of a car. Very justified,
