No, you can't go, but if you are a rich, famous liberal, then you can go. Many movie stars and rock stars go there.

Lucy is correct. There is a moratorium on Americans traveling into Cuba. In fact you can't get a ticket there from here. However, you can in fact get to Cuba by flying there from a different country, but this wouldn't negate the legality of your presence in a country that is considered "Off Limits." Now with that being said, our Marines and Soldiers are there today. So the question really does require a great deal more to receive the answer you seek.

America does not recognize Cuba or allow travel to that country from the USA. Americans can go through Canada or Mexico, however.

No. In October 1962 the United States and the Soviet Union were on the brink of nuclear war after the Kennedy administration discovered that the Soviet Union was constructing missiles in Cuba. As a result the U.S. government banned U.S. tourist travel to Cuba, and that embargo remains today.

you can try to receive permission from the US government. it happens regularly, but not often.

otherwise, fly from Toronto or Montreal and don't bring any record of your trip back with you to the US (Canada's diplomatic relation with Cuba is like the US's with China). after all, those cafes con leche are brewed with treason!

Not directly from the US.
I have friends who have gone there via Colombia.
But, you will have to ask that they NOT STAMP YOUR PASSPORT.
Otherwise, you'll be screwed when you go through immigration in the US.

Yes, but fly to Toronto first. Americans do not need a passport to enter Canada. [bonehead Bush wants Canadians to have passports to get into the US, which will KILL trade with Canada - what a creep].
