Mine was free, he just showed up and moved in. But, I see them advertised in the paper here between $400-500. We have a Siberian Husky rescue in the area and they only charge $40 for the spay/neutering and microchip. They are difficult to house train (at least mine was), but make great pets.

it really matters on what state you live in i had a wonderful husky i think i paid $150.00 but that was over 10 year i am sure they are more but he was oh he was a wonderfull dog and gorgeous and had strong papers his mother was actually bigger than his father who was a big dog i could just go on every one just love him and i miss him so much he passed away about 2 years ago and he is deeply missed but i should let you know they are a lot of work their coats half to be brushed for winter and spring it like pulling cotton lot work.

If you go to a breed rescue group, probably $200-$300. If you go to a reputable breeder, probably $800-$900 (or more, depending on the bloodlines).
If you go to a backyard or "hobby" breeder whose only interest is in making a buck, you could probably find one for a couple hundred bucks, but since you'd pay that to adopt one that already needs a home, better to go through Rescue than reward someone for contributing to the animal overpopulation problem.

check the pound. you can get an adult dog for less than $100. Puppies will cost over $400 and you don't know if they are healthy. Plus and adult dog will usually be house trained and calmer than a puppy. And you will feel good because you saved a life (well, a dogs life at least)

Depends. I saw one a couple weeks agon on my local Humane Society website and I really wanted him but he had already been adopted by the time I called. I think it was $150 to adopt. He was sooo beautiful. I hope he went to a good home.
