There is a logical reason why this is done and once you know it you will understand. A few years ago a person had gone into a fast food restaurant and ordered a Coke. I know the chain but for this answer that info is irrelevant. That particular restaurant chain has their beverage service provided by PepsiCo. All their fountain drinks were Pepsi brands. When the customer received their beverage and found that it was not a Coke.... you guessed it, they sued the chain and get this...they won. So if you get asked if one is ok over the other...thats the reason.

on the eating position I serve at, Pepsi is on tap and that i used to ask if Pepsi changed into ok for the reason that pretty a lot each man or woman asks for Coke. some people certain, may refuse the Pepsi so as that they'd get a can of Coke if accessible. i ended asking and thus far no man or woman has stated "hi, I requested for Coke and that is Pepsi" so probably it is demanding to inform the adaptation even as it is on tap.

No. Some places (like Taco Bell) only sell Pepsi products. So maybe you should ask what kind of beverages they sell at the places you eat before you go getting mad @ people who have no control over the fact that they sell Pepsi products, not Coke products.

Why get annoyed about being served a sugar tasting poison? If you drink filtered water instead, you will flush out the toxins left in your system by the poison thus becoming less annoyed. The poisons you are drinking is causing your irritability.
COKE FACTS:
In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
Coke will also clean road haze from your windshield.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the "Hazardous Material" place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!
WATER:
75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (This likely applies to half the world population.)
In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied (in a University of Washington study).
Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
Preliminary research indicates that 8 to 10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
Now the question is, would YOU like a glass of filtered water or Coke?
:)
Peace!

I had that experience today at lunch, except instead of them asking if it was okay they just automatically brought me Pepsi. I have no problem with that, but Pepsi tastes sweeter to me which is why I definitely prefer Coke.

No, although I prefer Coke, Pepsi is not so different that I would get annoyed at having to drink it.

Coke is the universal word in the South for Coke, Pepsi, etc. So yeah, it does annoy me. If it isn't Coke don't tell me.

It is kinda annoying. Or when you ask for Dr. Pepper, and they ask if Mr. Pibb is okay instead. I think it's mostly a regional thing. In Texas, when you say "coke", you are referring to just about any soda. Some places use the word "pop" or "soda." But I do feel ripped off when I am looking forward to one thing, but I get another instead.
