Use some flour or corn starch and pack that wound. Put pressure on it for several minutes and if it doesn't stop bleeding after 10 minutes, cart your guy to a vet. They'll probably have something that can help more than our suggestions :-) . Corn starch and flour are safe to use on bleeding wounds like that, but they're useless if the wound won't heal up at all.

Slap some vaseline on it and keep an eye on him. If the wound doesn't close up you might need to try bandaging it...easier said than done with a bird.

The first thing you should do is take the poor thing to the vet ASAP
and DON'T use alka seltzer as someone said...he will explode...again, poor thing
