How often should family pictures can be taken??
I have a friend , that every christmas she goes to SEARS to take family pictures, I haven't take pictures of my family since 2003, now I have a son(20 months) & pregnant again... The thing is that last year we didn't took it because my step-son was not here ( he lives away I didn' t come all year). Should I wait until December when he comes to take a family picture or should we take one now & then when he comes. I don't want for him to feel bad or to feel that he is not part of our family .... What to do?????

take one now b4 the baby is born, so you have just the three of you. Then again when your step son is there. Then, after the baby comes you can do everyone and get lots of copies to send to family and friends. Do they havea picture people near you? You can get coupons for free 8x10 on the web

Well I think you should definitely wait to take the "official family picture," or whatever...but that doesn't mean you can't take other pictures in the meantime. It's kind of sad when you realize you don't have any pictures from a certain time : (

We get our child's pictures done every three months at JC Penney and family pictures done every 6 months.
I joined the photo club at JCPenney $29.99 for two year... no sitting fee and I ALWAYS have a coupon from Parents' magazine for $3.99 a sheet. We spend about $30-$40 everythree months.

Generally, every year is a good idea since the kids change so much.
However, given your family dynamics, I do think you are wise to wait until December (it's only 5 more months). It's worth the wait to have your stepson feel welcome.

You should definitely wait so your stepson will feel like a ''real'' part of the family - not just someone who is a part of the family only when he is around

No, yet different individuals people around me do. some arent fairly fancy, yet valuable to assert the least. men in button up or polo, or the two in a sweater or turtleneck kinda element. Mmost of them are from the waist up so I cant supply suggestion on bottoms, yet thats approximately all I see in the pictures Ive considered.

I would wait for him for sure! You'll want a family picture of the WHOLE family, not just most of the family.

Take the pictures in december( with the stepson)... but pictures can be taken any time.

Family pictures can be taken anytime. In your particular situation I would say please wait for your step son. Have Fun!

Take it when he is here we take ours on vacation and just blow it up to a bigger size,he would feel left out
