I have lived in England for quite some time and I want to get a citizenship so that I am an English citizen. What are the requirements to get one, and how would I go about doing that? (I live in the US now, but I want to get out).

Get out while you can...If you are from a former British colony, then it is easy to get citizenship status. Canada is a country that Britain excepts it's patrons readily. We are a former colony. More so than the US

getting out while you can is a smart idea. would england really deport you back to the US because you are an "illegal immigrant"?
