as the death toll rises i was just wondering if anyone knows the real reason why we went into iraq and any predictions as to when the hell were gonna get outta there

I just came back from there.
There are very few people that know the real reason we went over there. The ones that have the answer are so high in office that they do not feel a need to explain it to insignifigant minions like us. So the Iraq war will be one of life's great mysteries.
But I have seen what we did to that country. That place is TRASHED and we are partly responisble for all of that damage. True the place was not Bel Air before we got there, but we are no longer in a position to just take off. it's kind of like when we dropped a couple of bombs in Japan and said, "Oh crap! Those were kind of big!" Then we hung out to fix some of the damage.
We'll be in that country for at least five years. And they will still end up in civil war when we leave.

The REAL reason why we invaded Iraq was to control the natural resources in that area...a.k.a. OIL and to cause instability among all Arab nations. To the current administration oil is power. If the US controls the oil in Iraq, they control Western Europe, Japan, the developing industrial powers of Asia and China who are all increasingly dependent on this oil source. There IS no plan to ever leave that region and permanent military bases are currently being constructed there. The next country on the list of countries to invade is Iran. There are also plans to extend US military presence into Latin America.

ok, people need to stop asking this question about the reason we went to iraq. no one will ever know the real reason. the best reason though is that a horrible, murderous dictator was overthrown. it will take time for that to become clear. we will get out of iraq when the mission is over. you can't set a timeline for war, b/c war never goes the way it is planned. the us has obviously learned this on numerous occasions, as have other countries.

That is an excellent question.
Every time that they had been proven wrong, the administration has morphed the answer into a different answer.
So my answer is: take your pick, it doesnt matter.
Ive been against this war before Bush ever started it, and Ive always wanted him to have to be accountable.
Then he said that future presidents will have to finish the war.
Bush is guilty of criminal incompetence, at the very least.

Israel wanted the U.S. to invade Iraq and destroy it's government. And since Israel owns the U.S., the invasion was carried out as ordered from Tel Aviv.

and if we didn't "do that" you would still be sitting their watching the death toll rise because more defenseless citizens would be killed here and their so be happy your alive and SUPPORT OUR TROOPS because if they weren't their the terrorists would be here
