It seems pretty accurate to me, except his treatment of the fourth crusade leaves out the role of Venice, Siege of Zara and the establishment of the Latin Empire in the former Byzantive Empire after Constantipole was taken. The person who is talking about the "small turkish tribe" ignores the points made about the initial aggression of Islam after the death of Mohammed.

Is this some sort of defense for the Christians? The Crusades were not just one war. Of the 10+ actual wars, Christians started the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Albigensian, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th, so basically you are trying to justify at least these 9 wars because a small ( a nomadic tribe from Turkey) group attacked Jerusalem?

Absolutely consistent with my studies of the Crusades. They were a belated Christian response to the encroachment of Islam not an unwarranted attack on it.
