The one thing all religions have in common is FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN. Organized religion capitalizes on that one basic element to keep people towing the line. I was raised Lutheran and remember being taught how Catholics, Methodists, Jews, Muslims, and everyone other than Lutherans would go to Hell. I could never understand why I was so fortunate to be born into a family that practiced the 'right' religion. Keep people afraid and they will do your bidding. I believe we all have spirituality...which doesn't require being a member of a church for salvation. -RKO-
