It is a type of dog in the non-sporting group. It looks a lot like a chow chow, but it is black and silver and white. We have three!

I have had Keeshonden, now I just have one old one left. She has been the best obedience dog I have ever had! She won 7 high-in-trials in 2 weekends once. Very smart, bouncy, and eager to please. But also hairy, she is the last hairy dog for me.

Uh..no,it does NOT look like a chow. Not if you know either chows OR Keeshonden. Do you pronounce it correctly,btw?? Most folks don't.

There's one who hangs out in the pet store sometimes where I go to buy bloodworms for my aquarium. She's very old and fat, but still toddles up and greets people. She's a cutiepie.

My daughter's babysitter has one. It's large and gentle. The kids all love her, and she's very patient with them when they jump and play with her.
