They sux so bad to clean...there is no easy way to do it. It's conveinent if you are gone most of the day, but like I said it sux to clean...the boxes are pricey too.

My cats aren't scared of it. As far as the cats being caught, mine don't because it doesn't scoop until ten minutes after they have been in it.

They scare the cat into crapping next to it, and then if some does get in the litterbox, it dumps it out on the floor.
Very annoying little money wasters.
I give them an emphatic thumbs down.
The only funny part of it was watching the cat take off at the sound of the motor when it went to scoop. That was not $100 worth of funny though.

I used to have an automatic cat box but I still had to clean the waste every day. It worked for a short while but still was a pain to clean.

Now my cat is toilet trained which is so much better. She just hops up on the loo and goes. The training took just a few weeks. Now all I have to do when she goes is flush. Problem solved! I trained her with toilet training kit called CitiKitty www.citikitty.com.

Have one, cost a mint to buy, worked OK until it went berserk, now it just sits there and we have to scoop by hand anyway....thinking I should have just bought the $5 pan in the first place years back.

I had trouble with mine...My cat only used for a week. After that, he was scared to go in it again. I tried & tried & tried, but he never went in it again. I had to go back to the old fashioned way.

We used one and it worked great but as it got older (over 2 years) it started scooping before our cat was done. It freaked her out and she wouldn't use it.

its much better if you just use a linner then throw it all away much more hygenic, cats get freaked out by the tinyest thing so i'd save my money if i was you.
