Women have the same structures in the anatomy of their throat. A woman doesn't have the prominent structure called an "adams apple" though. The male anatomy has the more prominent cartlidge for protection of the trachea.

everyone has got an adam's apple...it's called the thyroid cartilage

and yes, in women it is less pronounced
