No way. Hobbit religion is best. They get second breakfasts. You can't beat that, not even with a lightsaber.

Did you know that Jedi is an official religion is Australia, because so many people wrote that in as their religion? LOL...

Anyway, no need to say "Jedi", since Jedi is mostly Buddhist and Taoist mixed (chi is a somewhat near equivalent of the "force").

I know of some folks who do try to live their lives by the Jedi code. All in all, they're a lot nicer than some "mainstream" religious folks I've known.

Does it really matter what the source is, as long as the guidelines of "be excellent to each other" are followed?

There are people who actually follow this as a form of religion. There are many books on it, you should check them out.

Its funny you should mention this. In my class for the Navy, one of the guys in class has on his dog-tags, that his religious preference is Jedi.

Of course its a joke, but its quite an interesting topic.

Would it be a religion or a way of life? I am enough of a fan that I might marry into it! LOL

Um... no... i like megastar Wars yet i'd under no circumstances manage it as a faith. also, i'd under no circumstances taint megastar Wars by using combining it with some thing like megastar Trek. (optimistically I received't get killed by using Trekies now >_> :-P )

It's just the movie dude. Meant for entertainment. Do we have to put warning labels on movies now? No.

I'd say it as a joke to try and see how many people believed me....but I wouldn't believe it was true.
