— but that would make us better than God on certain levels. Perhaps these virtues really aren’t so great after all, and thus we aren’t better than God — but that would undermine the above theodicy which argues that these virtues are so wonderful they make all the evil worthwhile. Or, perhaps, God does have these virtues because God isn’t perfect either — but an imperfect God wouldn’t be as worthy of worship as believers claim.
However we look at it, it appears unreasonable to conclude that the God of traditional, philosophical theism can exist. If God is perfect, God cannot be virtuous; if God is virtuous, God cannot be perfect. One or the other attribute must give way and if theists insist on ascribing both to God, then God is logically impossible.

That can't be true that we possess 'good' attributes that God can't have. Like what?
God is just, loving, and kind. 1 John 4:8, Psalms 37:28, Isaiah 61:8, Exodus 34:6, and more tell us this. He is a God of truth, no lies. Hebrews 6:18 say this.
The Bible says that we were made in God's image. Genesis 1:28 says this. So any desirable attributes we possess are because God possesses these qualities.
Also Galatians 5:19-21 gives us bad qualities that only sinful humans possess because of sin. Adam and Eve sinned, thus causing their offspring to become sinners too. Genesis Chapter 3.
God is without sin. Deuteronomy 32:4 and Psalm 19:7 tells us this.
But then the next verses Galatians 5:23-24 gives us the qualities that we have because God created us with them.
Any good qualities we have come from our Creator, Jehovah. :)

You're falling into the same trap that most of humanity has. You're thinking of God in terms of human traits. God is not a grey haired old man in the sky passing judgement and writing laws. God is not angry, vengeful, needy or jealous either.
God is the original source from which the big bang sprang. The energy on the other side of the equation e=mc2, which means all matter - rocks, plants, animals, you, me, planets, stars and galaxies are literally made not only by God, but OF God and are therefore divine. You and everything else, including your thoughts are vibrating energy whose source is God. Your body may have evolved physically, but your consciousness is God experiencing itself.
God isn't perfect in the sense that he/she has to conform to some limiting set of beliefs or actions. God is infinite, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, good and bad, light and dark, all that is.
You are God, you just don't remember it.

THEODICY?????? Nice made up word!
And your logic is FLAWED. That's like saying "Dogs are black. Bats are black. Therefore dogs can fly." It makes no sense, yet it "seems" too at first glimpse. God IS Virtuous and God IS Perfect and neither ONE OF THESE rules out the other, quite the opposite, one makes the other quite possible.

Or perhaps your logic is flawed. Isn't it very probable and quite possible that a God with the knowledge and ability to create the universe and everything in it would have a wisdom far greater than someone who hasn't even the knowledge to create piece of chewing gum?

WOW You sure are a DUMBASS.
Dear read the Bible please before writing atrocities here.
God is perfect, God is the definition of PERFECTION.
Why humans seek for God?
BECAUSE THEY ARE IM-PER-FECT.
Or are you perfect and we don't know it?
Oh and another thing God created us similar to him but not perfect. Since Adam and Eve we lost perfection because of our sin. If Eve would have obeyed God we all would have been perfect.
Is the law of life and things had to be this way.
If we were all perfect we would be in heaven already.

this is a really weak argument, unclear and full of holes.
no, humans don't possess good attributes god can't have. God is infinite righteousness. Certainly we possess bad attributes, like the ability to fornicate, that we THINK is good but really is bad.

Logical impossibility does not preclude faith - unfortunately.
You can't get through to a faith zombie using reason. You have to use emotional appeals.
