Mine? My purpose is to be the best mother, daughter, grandaughter, wife, best friend and person I can be. Other than that, everything else is just part of passing time.

I decided that with the birth of my first child. 10 years ago.

This questions breeds religion. This is why we have it. It gives us an answer for that which we cannot know.

No one knows what their purpose is. Even if they tell you that god says they are suppose to be a minister or anything else. This gives them the ability to cope with life. Some people need it, some people do not. I for one do not. And, I also do not know what my purpose is, just like everyone else in this world.

You live, you die. If someone had found the undoubted answer to the purpose for life, everyone would follow the same religion, or lack there of.

Our only purpose is to pass on the genes of the species.

All other purposes are created in your head.

Nature has left us with only one purpose. To survive long enough to pass on the genetic information of our ancestors!

My goal is to eat his holiness the great "Flying Spaghetti Monster."
I heard if you ate him you would be granted nirvana in Satiatism, his version of heaven.

I heard the power of the meatball engines was irresistable.

I decided that it was my purpose the last time I went to a pizza shop. I made my mind up right then to devour all I could about "Pastafarianism."

Everyone's purpose in life is to experience, to be. We are the Creator experiencing, and our gifts back to the Creator are those experiences. Eventually our experiences will teach us the lessons of Love, which is our way back to the Creator. Until then our task is to find out who we are through co-creation.

It's sort of funny, actually. As you can see my by name, I'm a Christian woman. But I was in a big mess several years ago. I had divorced my husband, for a not-biblical purpose, and when I tell you my life was not just in pieces...it was like fine powder, I'm not kidding. It's as if I'd stepped on a land mine and it blew me to bits.

I kept going to bible study and kept going to church, even though I was embarrassed by what had happened, and ashamed of my foolish choices in life. Years went by. God restored my life, day by day. He re-attached my arms and legs and head! *smile* One day I realized, my "life" was over; that is, running my life the way I used to. It was now about giving Jesus Christ my heart, mind and devotion, to do anything with He pleased.

Since that day, I have never been so fulfilled, at peace, joyful. He has given me a life of laughter, purpose, love, grace, and fun. He gave me "beauty for ashes, and the oil of joy for mourning". The purpose of my life is to, day by day, surrender myself, my desires, to Him, for His good use.

I don't have "a" purpose. I have many purposes, and they change from time to time.

The most obvious purpose we have in life is to continue to multiply. To raise children to become productive members of society who will then raise their own children.

God decided my purpose for living.

The Bible says
I know the plans I have for you says God, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a hope and a future
