Oh no, a christian tried to get scientific. All came from god, so evil did to, and evil can only come from an evil god. If god was testing us, that is the same as me puring water on an ant nest, and watching to see how many drown (nice guy). Religions originated from the god created by caveman to explain lightning. Atheist do not believe in god. OCUM'S RAZOR? Hah. What sounds simpler, the universe just exploded into being, or an all knowing, all powerful, loving eternal, supreme being that none can see or understand made everything, and wants us all to join him and worship him? When put like that, it is not reliable, and not the true meaning. That theory said the less variables the more likely, and if god is eternal, he would have infinite variables. This counters all said. Plus all fact and reason show the true level of that persons insanity.

Very interesting way of asking that question. Did the universe create itself? When you look at it that way, it does sound quite a bit crazier than someone creating it. I would give you 10 points for asking the best question, if I could.
I truly believe that people use creation/evolution as an excuse to hide the real reason why they don't want to believe in God - they are afraid. Afraid of what they have done, and afraid of what might be taken away from them. Take care.

It has come to my attention that mostly the religious people have a book that has a lot of circular logic, stuff like "god created the world" and "this book is the truth" and "there will be those who say this isnt the truth" so,
they all read this book, and then go and talk to other people, and its like they get these pre patterned answers
the thing about why is there problems on earth the preprogrammed answer is "god allows sin cause we have free will" or what that guy says, "god allows us to solve our own problems"
ultimately, there isn't anything we can do but keep our children away from the fundamentalists who think they can lie based on a need to convert souls, as we know jehovah witnesses do
my wife is "religious" but doesnt have any of the preprogramming in her, so
ultimately there are people who just "believe" and those who are "preprogrammed" believers
since this stuff is elementary school playground its easily predictable with a little bit of it you can predict the rest
god made us
god makes this law
everyone breaks this law
everyone needs jesus
those who believe are saved
those who dont arent saved
those who dont are going to try and persuade those who do to stop believing
and they got bible references for all these things
they memorize these quotes
example
god created man
genesis 2.7 god made adam out of dust in the ground
so the person memorizes this quote and then when talking they say oh yeah god made the world genesis 2.7
all we can do is just learn their programming, and try and rewire them somehow
mostly who i deal with are theistic evolution people who dont think the earth is flat, who think most of the bible is allegory, and they just feel this need in their heart to believe in something better and jesus is the most logical to them
so, we continue our fight against fundamentalism, we dont want to see homosexuals flogged in america, we dont want genesis in the classroom,
we continue our fight, but we must be vigiliant and aware that they think of us as the enemy, they have preprogrammed responses, etc.
so just keep on keeping on

They sound like they are pretty comfortable with what they believe actually. I may not agree with it, but I don't think they need me to agree with them. I find that when someone feels the need to attack another persons belief system, they are actually unsure about their own beliefs. The more confident I have grown in my own beliefs, the less I feel the need to prove others wrong. Best of luck to you as you discover your own belief system.
Contact was a great movie, written by a true Scientist. I found it asked a lot of deep questions. Very interesting...
Side note: It's just as improbable that anyone can prove that God doesn't exist, as it is to prove that He does. That's why it's called Faith.

I agree this guy is nuts. Though I've heard worse.
"What sounds simpiler, the universe created itself, or the universe was created by a higher being"
Well if the higher being made the universe, then who made the higher being? He made himself? See, now we are right back where we started. Did the higher being create himself or was he creating by an even HIGHER being?

You are totally wrong when you say "God wants..." . How are you or someone else to say that? US go against all evils... That is men that have power and want more power that think so. They do not look to the owns evil, injustice, and want to save life by killing other people... They do not understand what Love is.

"in the adventure that your a real committed christian you will not even think of of doubting God." that's the completed reason faith nevertheless exists. As an atheist, I truthfully have often seen the theory that i'm incorrect, and now and lower back i'm getting particularly on the threshold of agnosticism earlier I unexpectedly carry out a little EPIC good judgment MANEUVER and comprehend that faith nevertheless isn't clever. Theists, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, locate it blasphemous to question God's existence. and so as that they're going to proceed to hold directly to their ideals, stubbornly, till organic determination at last reasons them to die out...

Not really. Not very logical, lacking reason but I have seen worse. I don't think the United States is mentioned in the bible.
