Does anyone have a good idea on how to quickly get my hair straight and volumized? I have shoulder length naturally straight hair, but it takes forever to blowdry. Any suggestions?

Buy a straightner and use it on your hairs.. its kind of a blow dry but a different machine.. you just have to move it on your hairs.. this is a temporary and quick solution to straight hairs.

If u want a permanent solution you have to visit a parlour.. Following link would help you in this..

for quick volume solution.. use volume added mouse on your hairs.. where as a proper hair treatment which includes different herbal massages and oiling would improve the volume of your hairs in real.

Why do you want it straight if it already is? If it isn't straight enough for you, use a hair straightner. Once you become a pro with straightening your hair, it wouldn't take as long. If you want your hair to be volumized, put on conditioner, but not too much. Buy the brand that says they will volumize thin, limpy hair (I don't know if that is the case for you). You shouldn't ever blowdry you're hair after a shower unless you are in a hurry. The heat from the blowdryer damages your hair and makes it frizzy, unhealthy, have split ends.

You could get it razor cut to get out some of the bulk and make it easier to dry, but that will create less body, not more.

I just wash my hair at night and let it air-dry while I sleep, so blow drying isn't necessary. That cuts down on the amount of damaging heat you have to put your hair through anyway.

Get a volumizing root spray or cream for styling. I really like the new "anti-flat" series from SunSilk- you can get it at any Walmart for like 2 bucks, and it actually works.

I have the same problem. I use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Serum (it comes in a little round-shaped bottle with a pump). It really makes hair smooth and straight and also minimizes blow dry time for me. Your hair will feel light too, but I don't know what it does for volume.

Before you blow dry your hair, comb it and squeeze it in a towel. Then get a big round brush, and blow dry your hair while holding your head upside down, and brush from the root down. And for extra flip/volume on the ends, hold the hair on the round brush and push the "cool" button on your hairdryer and aim it at the hair on the brush. It really works.

To cut down on the drying time, get the CHI hairdrier. It has ceramic coils which cuts down on the drying time. For volume, go check out products by Bed Head.
