According to the logic many of you have used against me, b/c I am talking about this monkey, I therefore believe in him, like when I talk about god or JC on these posts. Just b/c we atheists talk about your false gods doesn't mean we believe in them, we just want you to stop believing so we can quit with the religious wars (Iraq vs US, Israel vs Hezbollah; my god is better than your god).

Just because people believe in religion does not mean that is the reason there are "holy wars". If you think that Holy Wars are perpetuated because of religion, you are sadly mistaken. Wars between these people would happen over ANYTHING...drinking water, color of their shoes. Religion gives them a nice excuse and makes them feel as though they are justified in fighting because they are doing it for a higher power...blah blah blah. Most Christians will not ask you to believe in their God, but I think I can speak for them when I say that they do not want to be put down all the time for believing in something. You will never have people stop believing so stop asking. You believe what you want and let them believe what they want...if you don't, you are no better than the Holy War starters you speak of. They are also based on prejudice and ignorance.

First to believe that all war is based on religion is a bit narrow. The reasons behind war are not worth even contimplating since you can't do one iota of a thing to change that. All you can change is how you relate to God and to others. Start there and if you succussful, your world will become a much brighter place.

If you are willing to admit it's a theory then that means you don't believe it but believe it's a possibility.
I guess my religion falls into that category. I believe there's a higher form of intelligence controlling the universe. Some think it's God. I think it's the combined intelligence of every living thing.
If as you say, you're an atheist then you wouldn't believe that your theory is a possibility.
