No, that is ridiculous and I always hated that policy, and so many restaurants insist you shave.

Yes... fast food restaurants are set up differently than fancier restaurants. In fancier restaurants, the chef usually oversees other cooks and just TELLS them how to prepare the food, if they are handling the food they will usually wear beard nets. In fast food restaurants, there's not time to take off and put back on a beard net every time you use the bathroom, smoke a cigarrette, etc. If your goatee is more important to you than working, then re-evaluate your priorities or get a better education so you can work somewhere OTHER than fast food.

1) Yes, no one wants some greasy, grubby fool working the fry machine to drop his beard hair in there.
2) Many woman prefer a clean-shaven man. In fact, many despise facial hair.
