This is hilarious, if Stephen M is a troll, you are great and doing a good job. Keep up the good work.

This should send up all kinds of warning flags. The church was never called to do anything "underground" first of all. We are to be salt and light a visible reflection of God's love to a lost and dying world.
The term militia is a military term for war like action. If their objectives are geared to be unlawful then I would report them. You can take a stand according to God's standard and do it with love, especially since that is the example Jesus established long ago.
Talk to the pastor about this and find out what it's really about, if it is truly anti-biblical then leave that church because God's presence is not there.

I'd find another church. If you are a Christian, go with your gut feelings. IF it doesn't feel right, that's God talking to you to get out of there.

I had an experience lately where the church I was going to allowed a man to teach the bible study class. His first words were "I lost my faith in God' at that moment the Pastor should have yanked Him from behind the puplit. But the pastor let him continue with "If you dont know how to speak in tongues, you do not have the holy spirit in you" That again is a lie. Once you accept Jesus as your savior, you have the holy spirit in you. God also says we must always live by faith.

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

I approached the pastor about this false teacher at to puplit and the preacher told me that he would pray about it. Well, I told the paster, "While you are praying, I'm searching for another church".

Do what you heart tells you to do. For that is God speaking to you. I now belong to the most wonderful church I have ever attended. Prasie the Lord!

God bless you

I would take the following measure:
1. Pray about it
2.Confront your pastor to make sure you have all the correct info. and talk to your pastor about it.
3.Leave the church- for your safety and the right direction
4. Report it to the authorities first if you feel this is something illegal or out of the ordinary, and they get homeland secrity involved if need be.
5.Pray some more and do not join just to follow them. Only follow Jesus and his word.

Leave that Church and go to a different one...but not before confronting your Pastor about these issues. I suggest the following arguements/statements: Woman aren't inferior to men and are entitled to CONTROL their bodies--It's called FREEDOM of CHOICE.

Marriage by implicaton implies sanction of God (if there is one) What about SECULAR unions between people of like gender that LOVE each other? If your Pastor won't even discuss these issues based on these very generic questions than RUN.

Suggest you continue your spiritual journey at WWW.UUA.ORG!

Thank you, you just proved my point! Religious types cannot make their own decisions to save their lives!!

But to avoid being reported, as is likely to happen if I don't tread carefully, I would seriously engage in options 1, 3, 4.

More than likely though the pastor was just getting the congregation wound up before they tithe!

Tell your pastor what he is about to do is un Christian, which it is!! Where is the tolerance? What does he have against gays? Keep in mind that Jesus preached against divorce ... he never said a word about gays ... maybe your pastor would benefit from actually reading the Bible??
