i just got my spacers last wed. they are the rubber bands and i havent had any problem with them at all. i even chewed gum (sugar free). just dont eat anything too sticky like caremel. i wouldnt want to eat anything to hard either because your teeth will be sore for a while.

I'm wearing spacers right now, and I tried chewing gum, and it nearly pulled them out. I'd stay clear of that, for sure.

Stay away from hard stuff like apples, and avoid chewy things like gummy candy or gum.
