well you see warts are viral. If it decreases in size..could be a sign its going away. But give it time (months) if it grows back again, it means the virus is still there. It really takes a procedure (usually cautery) to remove it because the warts are stubborn and also can trasfer to other parts of your body. Hope this helps.

keep in mind that a wart is a virus - it is in your body for the rest of your life, so don't be surprised if it (they) reappear. There are two kinds, type I and type II, type I being above the waist - usually seen on hands, lips, etc.

The root is a little black dot at the base of what looks like a cauliflower if you look at it w/ a magnifying glass. That is what needs to die to remove the wart from that spot. You can do this with regular apps of compound W - which is essentially an acid. As your skin repairs itself from each application, the head becomes exposed and you can get it with the W. Gets pretty painful in my experience.

But, you can also accomplish the same thing with a circle of duct tape kept over the wart for an extended time. The wart needs air to grow, the duct tape prevents that. I know, sounds weird but it has actually been written up in medical journals as effective.

Or, you can see your health care provider and get it frozen with liquid nitrogen - may require more than one application if the wart is deep.

Being cheap, and adverse to pain, in my experience there is little risk in trying the duct tape first.

Hope this helps

I had 2 warts in my life. I used Compound W on both. One turned brown like a scab, pealed away and never came back. The other took a long time to go away. But is was that Compound W that did the trick. When it finally came off, I could tell that it was gone. You feel it.

My friend had a wart and told me she went to the doctor and had it frozen with like liquid nitrogen. That was last year...now its gone. So i think you should do that.

I am not sure but I tried cream for 2 weeks and it never worked. Personally I went to the doctors and he sprayed some stuff and it came off the next day.
