Look, Chick. Obivously I pressed your religious button, but what you don't realize is that I am a Chrisitan who thinks. Apparently you aren't (and that's ok)

My son is named Zachariah. (I didn't like it with the "E") Jesus has spoken to me.

However, I have a big problem with folks who read the Bible and then use that as a shortcut to *actual* thinking. But being a Christian, to me, partly means being tolerant, turning the other cheek, and cutting folks some freaking slack.

A lot of christians these days are downright intolerant, racist, horrible people. That's not for me to judge, though, so I just mostly don't tell folks off for no reason.

Just 'cause some dead dude said something and it was set down in the Bible don't mean it's true today.

Christians can eat shellfish, they don't have to stone their neighbors, or sacrifice cattle in the front yard.

Jesus changed all that.

You are allowed to have your own relationship with God.

You might try it sometime, instead of just swallowing whatever it is that you read in that book.

God didn't give you that mind to just take other's thoughts.

And please, please, stop saying HELLO in closing. It's rude.

I can't recall answering any of your questions before, but let me say that if I did, and you found my opinion abrasive in any way, I apologize. I only want to offer my point of view and hope that it helps. I try to steer clear of slapping a sanctimonious paint brush in people's faces when discussing God's Word, but because interpretation is relative to Scripture, it's hard sometimes to not seem like a smart-alec. Anything you want to discuss directly is fine with me and I hope you get the best possible answers from everyone in the future.
