Well, Satan was not Innocent.
Adam and Eve were not innocent.
The snake is a symbol of the crime so they are not innocent.
It is not like the snakes were made to suffer. They just represent the curse. When Moses took the people out of Egypt they were told to look at the snake on a pole for healing. That snake represented Jesus taking the sins.
So God made the snake positive symbol as well. I pity you!
You think you are clever, but sadly you are cunning and foolish. Think it will be fun to see your eyes bug out when you are allowed your quick glimpse of God's presence before you are allowed to get what you want, an eternity without our Living, Loving, Kind, Merciful, and Just Creator.

Here is the adult version so you don't get bent out of shape about your pet snake.
The Serpent (snake) is a name for Satan. The snake is symbolic for healing (the medical symbol) is also a phallic symbol and a symbol of death.
Satan was not inhabiting the body of a snake. He was also symbolized by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
He was inhabiting a man-like body when he seduced and copulated with the woman to produce Cane. The woman went to Adam and conceived Abel. The two boys, half brothers, were delivered at the same time.. Cane the eldest, was born first, but denied a place in any genealogy in the Bible. Adams second son was Seth. It is through Seth that the lineage of Messiah is traced. Christ could not be the second Adam through Cane because Cane was not sired by the first Adam.
The Apostle James calls Cane the son of the evil one. Cane could not produce a proper sacrifice because he was bad seed to start with. Many followers of the occult know that the snake is phallic and it is treated so in their art work.
Did God take the legs off a poor snake, how cruel! My question is do you think there was a talking snake? Satan was there in the flesh, Gen. 3:1. He gave the woman a little present just like the witch gave to Snow White. A little apple that looked good but it was death. Do I need to spell it out for you? Now you know why children take apples to their teacher.
Satan the most beautiful and powerfull spiritual creation not only cast out of heaven but now bound belly to belly to the earth until the close of time. The beast which Satan occupied, was detroyed. The missing link that evolutionists still seek today.
Remember Lucy, 200,000 year old Lucy in Africa, the mitochondrial eve? There is still a controversy raging over those findings because 200,000 years doesn't fit the fossil record. Well I don't think that Lucy is Eve; but it does seem they can probably trace things back to one woman.
The thing nobody talks about is that you probably can't trace the human race back to one man! No one wants to play with that toy. I remember an old jazz song from the WWII era, played in clubs across the states. The jazz singer brags, "I got a man built just like a snake."
Bottom line for your question. No snake but a man- like beast represented by a tree. No apple (why weren't apples cursed?) Satan entered a man-like beast which God had also created. That form God changed so that no one can find it. It is the missing link science would love to find.
Well for my money you and I are related, having the same mother, if you go back far enough. I hope you see that worry about the poor snake is about sex and not God's judgement.
If we had the same mother the question remains, did we have the same father? If not which one of us is the bas......d?
Now you should see where the idea of a battle between the children of light and the children of darkness comes from. Now you can see the many references in books and movies to the battle between light and darkness. Now you may see that there is a heavenly kingdom and the kingdoms of this world. Now you might stop looking at dumb-god/poor-snake problems and realize that there is a real presence of evil in the world with a real army of followers. People willing to kill you for your opinion or for the shoes on your feet.

That is a good question and I have never thought about it. It rates right up there with a discussion that I was having last night. The Jews will believe everything in the Old Testament, yet they do not believe in the New Testament. What is so believable about the old that they could not believe in the new? It is really mind boggling. As for an answer to your question, I have not a clue as to why an innocent species would be punished unless to position on "lizard" was already taken and God just wanted to "shake things up a bit."

The problem first is that your focus is on the creature. The serpent lent his body to be used by Satan and the serpent suffered for it. Satan's aim was to deceive Eve and yet Eve still had a choice, she simply chose contrary to God's law.
There is no base for ridicule towards God in this series of events, God allowed man a choice, instead of making men like robots that have to follow God because we are made that way, He provides an option. True believers, true followers, those called the children of God are those that make the choice to Him, because they have this option.

Eve was deceived, but she and Adam knew the one and only rule God gave them: Don't Eat It. God said they could eat from any fruit in the garden except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The snake was not the only thing cursed, all of creation was curse when Adam and Eve sinned.
Check out the link below, it helped me understand evil and where it came from.

Sorry snakes got a bad rap. Why are you trotting out myth and dressing it up as a real thing? It's like asking if Santa Claus had an affair with the Easter Bunny, would Mrs. Claus forgive him if he was truly sorry and repentant, and would she help hatch the eggs? That darn Eve, screwed it up for all of us, did she? Women!!!

Good question! Honestly, if God is almighty he should have known to punish Satan instead of a snake, right?

Pretty sure your missing a part of that story. Your missing the part where God told Adam and Eve BEFORE they ate the apple, that they could eat from any tree in the garden, except that one.

God explicitly told them to NOT eat of the fruit . It's all about obedience . All God did to them is make them live and toil outside the garden of eden , instead of just giving them everything that they need without having to work for it . That is just punishment . What if you had a child and he/she was walking toward a pool of acid , would you let the child walk right into it or would you say no ?

trully crazy and hYsterical. God sure likes to punish people for no reason. Then again, isnt this the whole notion that women are inferior to men written in the bible since women are always the ones to commit sins. And today, u have all these christian women who actually believe that they are inferior to men because the bible taught them that way. Hahaha, hilarious.
mytreacheryi u are so funny
