...for having an abortion. I've begged and pleaded to Him, said I was sorry but I still cannot take away the action that happened. And sometimes it really eats at me. I feel like I'm permanently stained sometimes, with no hope for redemption.
I believe in Jesus. I understand what he did by dying on the cross. But sometimes I feel as if I don't deserve his sacrifice. There is a Bible verse with Jesus and the man with leprosy where the man asks Him, he'd like to be healed if (Jesus is) willing. Jesus says he is willing.
Is that what I need to think of and not the horrible comments I'm sure both sides alike will make to me?
And don't try to say there is no God. I know better that there is.

To answer the "why I did it". I was still a teenager and was with a guy who was 33. Don't ask why for that, I don't know. I was scared of everything around me because people were so manipulative. He already had kids and had taken his ex-wife before to have an abortion!! There were so many things that were wrong at that time. In part I was trying to spare my parents, in part myself, and in part the child from the situation. I might not have done it if he would have said no or that others around me had done the same thing.
And I don't think of it often and have moved on for the most part, but it is such an emotional scar to have on you...

Yes, you will be forgiven if you ask for forgiveness. I'm sorry that you had to go through that. Be at peace.

Even Christians are divided on whether abortion is the same as taking a life. It's a difficult question and no one can tell you anything except their own beliefs. Regardless of how you feel about it now, you made a decision that seemed right at the time. It may or may not have been the right decison for you.
If you regret your choice, know that we all make mistakes, we live with the consequences, we learn fromthem and try to be better people.
Christians believe that God grants forgiveness when you ask for it. If you did something wrong, I am sure you are already forgiven. Now forgive yourself and live a meaningful life.

In the Bible, Jesus says, "A murderer shall never enter Heaven." In the next breath, he says, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."
Can you see the hypocrisy? Jesus says don't commit murder, then he suggests murder as a solution to a religion he doesn't agree with. How can you believe in him?
At any rate, if you would follow your conscience instead of the bugaboo of religion, you'd realize you were a million times more merciful by having an abortion than not having one. Think of the lifetime of suffering and agony you have spared one soul.
Don't listen to those airheads telling you "At least you could have put it up for a adoption." That's the worst possible thing you could have done! The pro-lifers are liars. For every one kid you find that was adopted out happily you will find 99 that have been bounced around from one foster family to another their whole lives, sexually molested and abused. And trust me- it happens in almost EVERY foster family. When those kids grow up, they become schizophrenic and need to live in a group home the rest of their lives and be physically monitored each moment.
My answer is, a moment of suffering for a fetus who can feel no pain is infinitely better. Never bring a child who is unwanted into this world.
Hon, you don't need to be forgiven for anything. You did right. A fetus is not a human being yet, since it does not have human level intelligence or feelings and can't exist outside its mother's body. It is the soul of the potential baby that you are sparing from the suffering of being brought into the world unwanted and unloved.
As for Jesus, dump 'em.... he's a megalomaniac that wanted to be worshipped as a god for all time, at any price.

No one deserved the sacrifice that Jesus made. That;s why it called Mercy. If you ask, God will Hear and you will be forgiven. I went through something like that a few years back. I felt guilty for something I had done and I just couldn't forget about it. What we have to remember is that when God forgives he also forgets, He wipes the slate clean. The guilt you feel is a good thing. It shows that you know when you do wrong, but if you don't put the incident behind you when you are forgiven, then Satan will use that guilt against you and keep you from making any progress in your personal relationship in Christ. Just know that if you are sincere in your prayer you will be forgiven. I will say a prayer for you and your situation. God Bless.

The way I see it is this... God gave us the technology to perfect abortions. In some people's eyes that is wrong, but I think it is more of a sin to bring a baby into the world that is going to have no hope for a good life for whatever reason that may be. Wether it is the parents are too young to take care of it, it is not wanted, it will be ailed by some genetical or other disease, or any other reason that will make the child screwed for the rest of its life. Its more humane to get rid of it before it knows its a human than to let it suffer forever. Does that make sense to you? I hope so, because if you had an abortion, chances are you did the right thing. I dont believe in it as a form of birth control by any means, but mistakes and rapes happen.

P.S in the bible it even says every doubt you have and such is dweeling because of satan. when you feel doubt or anything whatever problem you should pray to God. even if the thing issmall even sometimes talk to God as if he was right their in which he is in your heart shut out stan dont give him the oppurtunity to shut u down

Don't worry about it so much. You have already been forgiven a long time ago. Forgiveness came just by your own remarks, more importantly from stating that "I believe in Jesus." All that was ever asked was that we believe. Right now, I think it is more important that you start to forgive yourself. Sometimes things happen for a reason and there is always a lesson to learn from everything.

Yes for sure you will be forgiven if you haven´t been yet.
Our Father in Heaven knows how weak we are, HE MADE US in HIS image, therefore all you need to ask is for JESUS´`forgiveness from the bottom of yur heart and soul. It doesn´t mean that you will feel completely FREE at once, this is a process, forgive yourself as well. This is so important for you. Do you remember the story about the woman that was caught by Jesus in adultery? Jesus´a answer was simple: "The one who does not have sin, throw the first stone." "For we have all sinned and fallen short of hte Glory of God" it is also in the Bible, it is not my words but HIS. KEEP it up, positive, maybe you will also need some psychological assistence for some healing with yourself and also dealing with others. BE BLESSED wherever you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should pray to God, because there is a difference between Jesus and God Jesus is not god and he can't save you! It is God that does the saving and the forgiving so you will be better off if you pray to God but no person can tell you that you will or won't be forgiven that is for God to decide and if someone tells you that you won't be forgiven they are doing something wrong because they are doubting God's ability to forgive and the capacity of God's fairness and ability to forgive is so great and huge that it is unimaginable!

You will be fine maybe it was necessary to have it did someone hurt you. It is called a guilty conscious. Every woman should have a right to her body I mean in some countries women are walking corpse they have no rights to nothing. Please DON"T LISTEN to those with negative thoughts or comments. GOD IS A FORGIVING BEING. Sometimes no one understands someones situation until they been there or are compassionate being. I am sorry for what you are going through hopefully in time it will pass. And even if you didnt believe if you feel it had to be done sometimes somethings need to be done your not a bad person . SOME PEOPLE WILL JUDGE BUT IF YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE IN GOD HE IS ONLY ONE WHO WILL JUDGE I MEAN Don't nake yourself feel bad you said sorry so it is done right

I think if you had an abortion because you were raped or something, God would understand. If you were 13 or something or another difficult reason for it, he will forgive you. If you are using abortion as your birth control, then no I don't believe you can be forgiven. AND yes you should only think about the goodness of Jesus and his many parables. God bless.
