1) What is your source for your claim "marriage is for creating life"?

2) Last time I checked, lots of unmarried people had "created life." So - is that a sin?

3) If a married couple chooses NOT to have children, or as you state in your question "are incapable of creating life", should they then not be married?

Marriage is not just for creating life. Not everyone can bare children, just like not all women in the bible could bear children. That is not a sin. God has His own reasons for making a married couple barren. That's why adoption is an option. And by the way, that's not a sin either.

Having children is certianly a benefit to marriage, but not its only purpose! Having support and companionship from another person that balances and completes you is reason enough, whether you are able to have kids or not.

If your point is that it is a sin for married people who know they cannot conceive to have sex just for the satisfaction of it, then that's not a sin either. Sex also has a purpose in that it strenghtens the marriage and allows spouses to express love for each other.

Ummm.... I'm assuming you are basing this on the Bible. Well I dont know why, but I think I'm more familiar with "the purpose of sexual intercourse is to create life". I've heard this as one of the "reasons" (ha) why homosexuality was a sin (Bunch of BS). So if you are not going to create life then you shouldn't have sex? Maybe marriage isn't the problem as long as you don't have sex .... LOL

well that is a question for the people that are keeping gay people from marrying. They claim it isn't what marriage was created for, that marriage was created for creating lives...so if that is the case than what you are saying about straight people not having children would be the same...which just shows how ridiculous the argument against gay marriage is.

What are you talking about? Marriage is not for creating life. What crazy instruction manual did you recieve about marriage?!
Marriage is about love. Besides, isn't it hard enough for married couples to get all the bills paid without having kids these days?

What? No! 2 people who get married don't have to create life. Adopting a child into a family is just as good!

I know the difference between right and wrong, so I guess I can figure out what a "sin" might be. To ask a question like this one though tells me you're not too clear on the concept of "sin." No, it's not a "sin" to have sex. It is a sin to keep on overpopulating this poor planet just for the sake of your religious convictions.

I don't think it's a sin because the man and woman involved were created not to have children biologically. However, I think a married couple in such a situation should consider adopting, especially older children who are usually harder to place in homes. I think that God would bless a couple who open their hearts and home to a child or children who need nurturing.
