I just respect them so much and I think they are doing a great job and show the world how good women can be in that kind of job!

I respect them completely. Do i worry about them? Yes. It is a PHYSICAL issue, not mental or lack of wanting to be as physical, but yes MEN are bigger, faster and tougher. That doesn't mean I don't think a woman can be an officer, I worked with several really great women cops. They were much nicer than the men, that's for sure... I just worry about them, I could never do it. We had a woman that was under 5 feet tall, just a little gal, and I think people just laughed at her. But hey, she still had a gun and knew how to use it. It just worries me if she were to get into a physical assault and be alone. That's just logic. But women definitely deserve to be out there... just be ready to get hit on a lot!!! :)

Women generally make better police officers then men. Women understand how tactical communications can work to your advantage. Men think it's all about physical strength, which is a very small part of the job and a smart cop wouldn't get in that kind of situation alone anyway.
Brains over brawn everytime.
I wish there were more female officers on the force.

I like it when women step outside of traditional gender roles and work jobs that are more popular with men. It was one reason I loved being in the military so much...I felt like I was doing something different. Like someone else said, if a person can do well at their job then it really shouldn't matter whether they're male or female.

i think that women do as well as men as cops and you have to be proud because before the idea of a woman for a cop was crazy and now women are doing the same jobs as men

Have you sized up any cops lately? Most of them are BIG men, and TOUGH. Lady cops don't generally have this going for them, so the big equalizer for lady cops has to be a .40 caliber automatic shooting very destuctive jacketed hollow points. Is this what you want happening to innocent civilians or even to the run-of-the-mill criminal? I like and respect lady cops, but there are assignments that they shouldn't be given.

Sorry, cops in general suck, but there's not a single woman cop that can do the job as well as a man.
I will say this, most women cops lack the 'tude that male cops have, so at least that's one good thing.

I think think it's great. They're showing young women that they can be anything they want in life. I respect them a lot.
