Please don't go right into blonde if it is dyed black. You are killing your hair! It will need to be divided into several applications or you will end up with orange hair! You have to just start out with some minor highlights and just keep getting highlights every 6 weeks until it is blonde. And have a professional do it.

Go to a hairdressers if you want that done.

As it is already Black, they will have to strip out the colour and take you back to natural before putting any bleach on or making it lighter. They will be able to best advice if it can go so blond too as it may not be viable as not every hair is suited to bleach blond.

If you do it yourself, the hair products available in the supermarket are not strong enough to lift (lighten) to the extent that you are looking for and you will only find that you will end up going green instead.

Best advice as you want to go from one end of the spectrum to the other is go to a hairdressers who can do it professionally (and properly) for you.

If your hair is dyed black at the moment, it's a VERY bad idea to try bleaching it to blonde. Bleaching at all is damaging to your hair, but to go from the darkest possible color to the lightest is going to make your hair very brittle and fried. If you want to lighten it, I'd recommend visiting a reputable salon in your area and making a couple appointments to GRADUALLY change the color. That'll give your hair some time in between to recover from the processes.

STOP!!! If you insist on doing this go to a professional. Your hair will end up feeling like straw either way.. but if you try bleaching it yourself..black hair will turn red, then orange, then gold..then to mush. A professional will be able to tell you how much bleaching your hair wil be able to handle and they will have the right products to combat any crazy colors it may turn.

Well my girlfriend had black hair and wanted to go blond so we did just that but instead of going blond it went orange and to make a long story short it all fell out in clumps and we had to cut her hair until only about an inch was left so for 4 months she wore a wig.. it was really bad ans it is just now growing past her shoulders.

I bleached my hair from dark black to blonde about 9 months ago. Part when white blond and the rest when a lovely orange shade. Bright orange.

Go to your hairdressers if you really want to do this its just not worth it!!!!

I WOULD GO SEE A HAIRDRESSER WHICH I DID MYSELF AND WE FOUND THE RIGHT COLOR THAT BEST SUITS YOUR FEATURES. MY COLOR NOW IS A MEDIUM BLOND & I HAD VERY DARK BROWN HAIR. IT STARTED OFF GRADUALLY SO I WOULD NOT SHOCK EVERYBODY AND NOW IT'S AT A COLOR I AM VERY HAPPY WITH

TAKE CARE,
