Christians who want to enforce their religious beliefs on everyone else are wrong. If some of these Christians were forced to live under Muslim rule for a couple of decades, they might get an inkling about how religion and politics should not mix, and how unfair it is to have their freedoms censored or taken away because of someone else's narrow-minded values.

Most non-Christians don't hate Christians. Most non-Christians are right there with you - keeping to themselves and being fairly tolerant of other's beliefs
But, as with every religion, most regular people can't stand the fundamentalists who want to convert everybody by the sword. It's the religious zealots who give any religion a bad name, and turn people off to a given religion.
Before 9-11, most people in the US could've cared less about what Muslim peoples were doing. Now, because of the fundamentalist Muslims, the whole group of them are being discriminated against. It's the few the ruin it for the many.

I don't necessarily have anything against Christians. My beef is moreso with the organized religion. It's come to the point nowadays people don't question anything anymore. They just take what is presented to them at face value. I mean...it's just hard for me to wrap my fingers around somebody living to be almost 1000 years old, or someone actually being swallowed by a whale. Bad examples...maybe, but it's the only thing that came to mind. I personally am spiritual...and not religious.
Here's a question tho: Do you ever realize that when you go to church...all they're doing is reading the bible to you....and telling you how they perceive it. Who's to say they're right?

Sine you asked, I will share this with you (and anyone else who cares to read it).
When my grandfather died, when I was fourteen years old, the minister of the nondenominational Christian church that my family attended came to comfort my grandmother in her time of grief. At some point he informed her that my grandfather, one of the most righteous and loving men that I have ever known, would not be in Heaven because he was not formally baptized into the Christian faith. That heavily influenced why I decided to leave the church and that religion. However, I have continued to develop my faith and study many religions, often discovering and rejoicing in their similarities.
That episode in my life summarizes my concern with Christians. I do not condemn the lot for the acts of an individual, but every single day I read the same sort of message spouted on Yahoo! Answers. It is often not a message of compassion, but one of spite, of hatred, of elitism and of control. I have found that many say that they are right simply because they believe that they are, and that all others are wrong and will be punished for it. I cannot deal with narrow and closed mindedness and absolute thinking, particularly when it is mixed with hypocracy. "Judge not lest ye be judged" and "only God can know"; if that is, in fact, the case, then why not practice what is preached?
My God is a loving God. I have faith that I do not need to be a Christian to know and love God and to know Jesus and practice his teachings - particularly to love God before all others and love my fellow human as myself. If I am wrong, well then at least I will get to be with my grandfather again and we can suffer whatever punishment together.

I don't have anything against Christians as group. I don't like some Christians - those that actively push their beliefs on me yet don't try to understand mine - but I don't think they represent Christians as a whole.
Basically, I'm fine with people of any religion. They just need to understand that we have different beliefs and we won't be able to "convert" one another.

What did christians do when they had the political power? Now you're all nice and smiling but back in the days they used to rule like the madmen they are. Same with muslims today who send their children "to die!" What I have against religions is simple-keep your logic to yourself and don't try to change my life because I might try to change yours and you won't like it. We had enough of this religios "create a problem then offer the solution" crap! Go to hell!

It's more like only 20% of Christians who are actually tolerant and practice what Jesus taught instead of thumping their Bibles.
True Christians are a rare breed, indeed.
Additionally, I don't hate Christians. My family is Christian - of course they are part of the understanding, patient, tolerant, caring, forgiving, Christ-like 20% that I mentioned above.

I like lots of christians. For the record, the reasons for not liking some of them are:
1. They try to make their beliefs the law of the land. (George W. Bush, the state of Kansas)
2. They are intolerant. (Jesse Helms, Jerry Falwell)
3. They are hateful. (James Kopp, Klu Klux Klan, Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson)
4. They try to take away my basic rights when they disagree with me (You)
5. They tell you whether they approve of your actions or not (You)

your percentage is a little too high first off. secondly, why does your approval of anothers life matter? who are you to say okay or no way to someone beliefs and ideals? lastly, regardless of what you think christianity preaches, it only promotes superiority of religion. thats why you have this notion of approve or disapprove of someone elses beliefs and feelings. it is not in you to accept, but to tolerate and that has all the wrong conotations involved with that. the term live and let live is not enforced by those in the christian community. it is live, here's why I think you're wrong, and let you live in sin. get off your pedestal and learn to appreciate life for what it is, not what you think it is.

Not Christians per say, but your various methods of irritating others to accept your way, when yours is questionable. When all you do is quote the bible. The bible says this the bible says that.......etc.
What about what other books say? What makes yours right and others wrong, only by what YOU perceive to be right? How can we ever resolve things.
