I have heard ppl talking about singapoe airlines all the time what is the big beal cause i live in america and i have no clue why singapore airlines is so popular

Singapore Airlines has the best service in the world. The "SA girl", SA's flight attendants are actually held to a code of conduct that includes anything they do away from work. They serve good (not great, they are still an airline) food and have a good deal of leg room. I've flown SA, but my experinces with EVA (Taiwan's airline) and China Air (Hong Kong) were similar.

It is popular because they are the safest airline (only one accident since the company started...unheard of in the airline industry).
Also, their service is number one, or at least at the top of the list.
A great thing if you have a long layover is their airport in Singapore. Probably the best airport in the world. Free internet access, a lot of shops, koi ponds to look at, a lot of TVs to watch, and a hotel in the airport where you can rest and take a shower while you wait for your flight.
They are pretty competetive with their rates also.

Thier planes are very modern and thier first class seats lay completely flat. The service is very good, very professional ... and thier fares are quite competitive.
