A person laughs when they are being tickled by someone else because they don't have 100% trust that the other person will not hurt them. (this falls under the category of human instinct.)

You cannot make yourself laugh because you know you're not going to strangle yourself.

I can tickle myself, there's this spot behind my right knee and even if I knock it I can't stop giggling because it tickles so much!

It the matter of who has control. You decide when you're going to stop, and how much pressure you will put to the spot. When someone else has that control, its a personal violation, and the body reacts with ticklishness as its defense mechanism.

because the sensation of tickling is psychosomatic (all in your head). there must be a safeguard in your brain to protect you from tickling yourself to death.

i think that if you try tickeling yourlself slowly with your finger tips (i guess that's how u spell it) you can drefinetly feel it i tickle my tights once in a blue lol is funny but it feels good lol
