The Mark will be some sort of device implated in the forheads and hands of those who worship the Beast.

The Beast will be a political figure, who will be praised for bring "Peace in the Middle East." He will institute a system where if ANYONE wants to buy, sell, and eventually live MUST take this implated device.

The mark of the Beast will come on the scene after the Rapture of all those who are saved. The rapture is described in the Bible this way: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever" (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We do not know exactly what the mark of the Beast will be, It will probably be some form of indentifier like a implanted microchip.
There will be some people saved after the rapture, and during the horrific 7 year Tribulation preceding Christ's Second Coming to Earth. But nobody who takes the Mark will be saved. "The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image" (Revelation 16:2)
If a person who is left behind at the Rapture survives the war, famine, disease, and natural disasters described in Revelation she may be one of those people that chooses to trust Christ as her Savior. But how can you be sure you will do that then? The Bible says that many people will be deceived into believing the lies of the AntiChrist. And even those who accept Christ as their Savior will be beheaded for their Christian faith. Get your "ticket' for the rapture today! Your "ticket" to heaven was bought with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Good News is that you don't have to be afraid of the mark of the Beast or of the Tribulation that is about to come upon the whole world. Place your trust in the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior today; and then Christ's words will bring comfort and excitement to you: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am" (John 14:1-3)

During the tribulation period man will have to chose who he will follow. The antichrist will have a one world govt and will require that everyone follow him or die. You will be left to chose where you spend eternity. Satan will posess the antichrist, you are looking at someone that will be WORSE than Hitler! He will have a mark that you will have to take either in the forehead or in the hand to show that you are a follower of the antichrist. If you take this mark , you will condemn yourself to spend your eternity in hell's flames. The mark of the beast is associated with the # 666. The #6 is the number of man. The #7 is the number of god. So, the 666 is considered to be the number of man and satan. The mark of the beast right now is considered to be a microchip that is being implanted in the hands and forehead right now. They are experimenting with this microchip in hospitals for indentification purposes. Someday it may be manditory for everyone to have this microchip implant. This is considered to be the mark of the beast that will be used in the tribulation period. You will have to take this mark of the beast to be able to survive in the last days. You will need to buy food, get gas, and to even stay alive. The mark of the beast is you telling your creator that you do not want to spend eternity with him. You can miss the mark of the beast and the tribulation period by getting right with God and then you don't have to worry about the mark of the beast.

The Mark of the Beast has been defined as accepting a false hope brought on by a false hero who can bring everyone together. Most think that simply wearing "666" on your skin is the Mark & becoming a slave to the so-called hero's will. That so-called here is known as the Antichrist. One theory is that in the future everybody will be forced to wear a mark like a barcode or computer chip as ID on your skin or you will be killed. Yet, simply rejecting God's promise of the future & accepting the Antichrist's offer is also "branding" yourself with the Mark. Look in the Bible's Revelation. The mark of the beast being in your forehead or your right hand is more meaning then any kind of chip, brand, tattoo or anything else done to your body.
Your forehead IS how you feel or think about something and you hand IS the work you do for something.
Likewise those who have the seal of god on their forehead IS how they feel about God.
