My husband and I live in a small apartment and dont have much closet/storage place, right now my wedding dress is taking up all my closet space and im trying to find a website to sell it on. Its a modern strapless looking dress very pretty but I cant seem to sell it im not asking much for it, any ideas? i've tried craiglist and some other sites but nothing is working. Has anyone had any luck selling wedding dresses?

Try eBay. But take good photos. Put the dress on or post wedding photos (you can cut of your head, but people want to see what the dres slooks like.)

Also know you will get about 25% of what you paid, based on what I am looking at - $400 dresses go for $100, $200 dresses for $50 and $1000 dresses for maybe $250.

If that's not enough maybe you could donate it. Imagine calling a few churches , finding a young bride with little money having a small $500-$1000 wedding and you come in and give her the fress of her dreams! Imagine the day you will make for her. You could ask here to do the same and pass it on...

PartyPop.com I got my veil from there...they have boards with women seeking and selling their gowns. They have a lot of hits...and you can sell everything from your gown to your cake serving set if you wanted. A lot of the dresses are new but a lot of them are from women that have worn their dress and just don't want them taking up space. Good Luck!!

Also most dresses, even previously worn ones keep a pretty high price....for instance its not unusal for a bride to sell a $1200 dress for $750

Many newspapers have free ads for items under $250

You will need to be patient. Both CraigsList and eBay take time. You may want to take out an ad in your local and neighborhood papers.

Good luck!
