You don't sound overweight at all... Average healthy weight for 5'6" is actually 130 lbs. I'll bet you look just fine and beautiful just the way you are.

Why do you have to lose weight, is there a dress you need to fit into? Dresses can be altered. Crash diets rarely work, and they can potentially wreck your health. If you need to lose weight fast, then instead of trying to restrict the food you're eating, (because that might make you anxious), just double the amount of activity you do each day. Increase your exercise. If you're doing nothing, then start walking several blocks a day, til you work up to a mile, then two, then three. You will find that you will lose weight, because you are burning the calories, & your metabolism gets a natural boost, without having to deprive yourself of food. Good Luck!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Women: 100 pounds of body weight for the first 5 feet of height, 5 pounds for each additional inch.
You are right where you need to be. By losing 10-20 pounds you are making yourself a borderline anorexic.

If you do the 3 day diet you can lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks, once you get started on it, it's not hard to follow and not very expensive. Look it up on the web and print out you a copy.

OK, this is drastic but you seem to want something radical so...I advise against following the diet I`m about to tell you about because you might get sick but it worked for me.
You eat every 6 hours. First you eat one boiled egg (it has to boil for 9 minutes), without salt or bread or anything else.
After 6 hours you eat 100 grams of boiled chicken breast.
After another 6 hours you eat 100 grams low fat cheese.
And the you eat an apple.
You can`t eat anything else and you can`t use seasoning. Also I don`t recommend you to follow this diet for more than a week. After you quit the diet you should still control your calories in such a way that the remain under 1300 per day.

I think you just want people to answer that you're thin enough already.
But if you really want to eat fruit for breakfast, drink loads of water, eat an apple before bed and exercise like crazy.
No cakes or candy etc. limit bread intake.
