It will be in late September so it may still be hot (outdoor gazebo in shady park/garden area???)...or indoors in a very small, intimate (but tasteful and kind romantic) place. Most places, of course, will not do ceremonies for less than 50 people...need ideas!!!! Help!!! Plan to do the BIG WEDDING on our year anniversary so again, this is just to be a small, family only affair. In court is out of the question!

I already have a pastor who will do the ceremony but I didn't want to use an entire church b/c of the small number of people. A garden-ish park sounds nice (need names if you have any in mind??) or small venues who allow that small number of people....a clubhouse or something? Does anyone know any that can be rented? Websites would be real helpful...I didn't want it in court (a little too informal) but I won't be wearing a huge gown or anything...a very nice dress, hair done....imagine simple but romantic. We don't want to spend much b/c that's for our year anniversary celebration.

There's a complex called the "International Center" that consists of the Rolex building, the Centex building, and the Jones-Day building. I believe the new Azure building will be part of it. It's off McKinnon (the road the leads to the Tolllway) and is kind of the west edge of Uptown.

I have not been to the actual park, but apparently they have a beautiful park that's supposed to look like the Tuileries in Paris. There are "garden rooms" formed by hedges and trees, some with benches, some with tables. It's free and open to the public. Sounds like it might be the perfect place.

Good luck with your location and best wishes!

Have you considered a civil ceremony in a park/garden? For that few people you should be able to go to most public places. How about a nice restaurant?

White Rock and the Arboretum are recommendations despite in case you will have the wide-unfold public observing. Southfork Ranch is likewise accessible. there is the honest Park backyard middle/Texas Discovery Gardens, too. i've got heard good issues on the subject of the Reflections on Spring Creek. previous city Park in Dallas is likewise accessible for weddings. as quickly as I regarded on line i observed that a good sort of venues are actually unable to deal with communities as great as 200 people.
