I would disregard the previous answer, as Herbalean and other Ephedra-based supplements can be extremely dangeous for your cardiovascular system, and there are far better and safer alternatives for those pursuing weight loss.

Regarding your question, I've tried Xenadrine and it is very effective in keeping up your energy levels, but there are other metabolic enhancers such as Lipo-6 and Hydroxycut which seem to work much better for fat loss. Lipo-6 has worked well for me, but it is really an individual thing with these and is often "hit and miss". What works great for one person can do absolutely nothing for another regardless of variables.

The only way you'll know for sure if it works for you is if you try it. Try a small bottle and take only half the recommended dosage as you begin. Some of these metabolic enhancers tend to make you feel very jittery, anxious and even angry so be careful and pay attention to your mood and heart rate. I don't recommend taking any of these beyond 90 days.

I've tried a lot of supplements - Stacker, Hydroxycut, etc. I even tried the MetboLife without Ephedra, and never got much of a result.

I did find a supplement that's working very well for me right now and it's called Herbalean.

If you're looking to supplement your diet plan, you'll most likely want a good metabolic booster and appetite suppressant. I'd suggest taking a look at Herbalean. It does have Ephedra, which was unbanned this year by the FDA - so it's legal in the US again. It also has Hoodia for the appetite suppression, so the combination works VERY well for me.

It's made by the original makers of MetaboLife, and they've improved the formula with Hoodia and 77 trace minerals and herbs. It's also an extended release formula, so you won't get the jitters from the Ephedra like you would with MetaboLife
