Okay. I LOVE to take pictures with my digicam, but I've got so many, and they are all really plain. I've heard of photoshop and adobe, but what's the best to edit pics (under $100)? Also, is there any that are free online or anything?

Thanks!

From the Adobe website, http://www.adobe.com , you can get a 30 day trial of Photoshop Elements 4 ($90).

From the Corel Website, http://www.corel.com , you can download 30 day trials of Paintshop Pro X ($80).

Also, the below websites have image-editing software with a varying degree of complexity and capability that are totally free.

In addition to those mentioned above, there is:

Photo-editing software (free):

PhotoFiltre is a photo editing program, free for personal use. It has many effects, filters and textures. You can: remove red eye; turn photos into watercolor paintings; or add an “old photo” effect.

PhotoFiltre handles color saturation, blur effects and paint tools. PhotoFiltre has all the basics of big programs like Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro—it even lets you open and work on Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro files. It can also take gif, jpg, bmp, png, tiff and tga formats.

Another free image- and photo-editing program for Windows is Gimp. Gimp looks and works like Adobe Photoshop.

PXN8 is a free photo-editing program. You can upload your photo and use the editing controls to crop, rotate, resize, get rid of red eye, and whiten teeth. Then you can save the photo to your computer.

I know that... you could probably download full versions of Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro off the internet - illegally, that is. For photo manip, those two are really the best. Also, a very basic photo editing program comes with the HP printer/imaging package.

Photoshop CS2 is the best that I've encountered. You can get demos free online, but they have a 30 day period. After 30 days you can uninstall and re-install. If you like it, it's worth the money to buy it. It will bring your digital photography to a whole new level.
