Yes! I've had two AMAZING water births. Laboring and birthing in the water is SOooooo much easier. (I had a "land birth" for my first.) I would never do it on land again! The water provides great relief for mom and is a gentle transition for baby.

i havent but i have talked to the doctor about it. its better for the baby cause thay can make the changes better cause thay are already in water so thay are just transfering to more water witch is good for the baby and thay can take a little more time to cut the cord and the baby would be fine in the water for the time. and as for the mother thay say its very relaxing for the mother so when shes in pain and stuff it helps to relax her so she can work on pushing the baby out better. but there are many things and many reasons to have a baby in water. if u want to know more try talking to an obgyn and thay should be able to give u some info on it and stuff

I labored in the water and it was wonderful. Unfortunately I gave birth in a hospital that doesn't allow water births so I had to get out for the birth part.
For my next child, I'll be birthing in a birth center so I'll be able to give birth in the water too.

I had my 4th child in water and wish I'd had the first 3 that way too! The pain is halved - the experience was serene and wonderful. Once my baby was born, the midwife just changed the water and baby and I had our first relaxing bath together - it was bliss!

NOT ME...but a very close friend has done so, TWICE.
She's totally committed to it after her daughter (7 yrs.) and
son (6 yrs.) were born.
However, she maintains that it's NOT for eveyone.
I'd be happy to pass on your e-mail address to her...if you'd like a
personal account. She's also a BELLY-DANCE teacher...and practices YOGA.
