I have always believed in sex before marrige. Would you buy a car without test driving it? I certainly wouldn't. When you marry someone, its (hopefully) for life, and only once. Relationship therapists have always said that sex is a important part of a healthy relationship. If you don't enjoy the sex with your partner, the problems in the bedroom tend to affect other areas of the relationship. So if you and your partner never had sex before the marriage, and no matter how much you try you don't connect sexually, nor meet each others needs, the relationship will have a hard time trying to survive.

I don't think that's the only reason to have sex before marriage, but speaking as a person who has been married, and who has dated guys with whom I was not sexually compatible, I definitely would not consider marrying anyone until we knew we were well suited in that area...
I don't believe in basing a romantic relationship on sex, but it can darn sure be the downfall of one...

If you want to marry the girl then take you time and build a strong emotional relationship.
I would be a good idea to have sex prior to getting married to make sure that your physically compatible.

It should be more important that you are compatible emotionally and intellectually, then it is to be compatible sexually. Having said that I think that having sex before you get married is a good idea because there is alot of passion involved in sexual relations and the more passionate the sex the likelier you are to be compatible in other areas.

I agree, I dont believe in buying the cat in the sack (so to speak) sex may not be the most important thing in a relationship but it is very important and if its not right it will brake a relationship over time no matter how much you are in love with each other.

i'm not against having sex before marriage but you don't have to have sex to find out if you are compatible. if you are willing to marry someone then how good or bad they are in bed shouldn't matter. you can always help them out in that department. teach them a few things.

i believe people (at the right age) should explore with sex, safely! obviously be smart about it. i think that you should have sex before you get married, just like i think you should live together before getting married to BUT not until you're engaged.
